Created sixty years ago, capsule toys (Gashapon ガシャポン) are plastic pods containing a small surprising, clever or collectible object. The pods are dispensed by a machine, which requires inserting coins and turning a knob by hand to release a capsule into the tray. Due to their popularity capsule machines are now ubiquitous in urban Japan. Green Capsule Cacti Cuties capture the fun and surprise of Gashapon for plant lovers. Inside each Green Capsule is a rustic styled clay pot, growing pellet, and seeds for growing one of four famous cacti. The petit pot is perfect for starting the slow growing cacti and can serve as a home for a baby cacti for its first year. After which it can easily be transplanted to a larger pot to fully mature.
