eeBoo's Votes for Women 500 Piece Puzzle celebrates great people who contributed to the Suffrage Movement. These brave individuals fought to give women and people of color the right to vote. All men and women are created equal and deserve to be heard. Remember to vote and exercise the right these women and men fought so hard for.

Monica Garwood  (@monicagarwood) is the San Francisco-based illustrator of our Votes for Women puzzle and flashcards! Monica is inspired by Frida Kahlo and Joan Brown, two female painters who “created beautiful, meaningful work in an industry that was mostly a man’s world.” As an illustrator, she loved learning about Nina E. Allendar, featured in Votes for Women puzzle, who drew strong, powerful women in the suffrage movement.

For more than our first hundred years, our country's women were not heard;

Half the nation could not vote, our democratic dream deferred!

A brave, persistent, broad array of citizens who raised their voices

Earned at last the sacred right to help their country make its choices.

A century of women's votes!

Let's celebrate by taking note

Of pioneers who led the fight

to help secure that precious right!
